Marina was born in Moldova, former USSR. Since a very young age she began studing piano and was immersed into a very intensive music program which included four to five hours a week of studying different musical subjects, practicing piano everyday became part of her daily life. In 1986 Marina graduated with an Honors diploma and was appointed to a music college which she completed in four years with an Honors again, and proceeded to complete a Masters degree in piano performance and pedagogy from the renowned Odessa State Nezhdanova Conservatory of Ukraine.

Marina has been teaching piano and theory for over 35 years. Her students successfully perform their skills in various events and receive high remarks from judges, with a 100% passing rate on RCM examinations. A number of her students have chosen music for their career, they perform and teach in Canada.

Marina's teaching method is based on approaching each student individually. She believes that it is very important to recognize a child's potential and to challenge it in a nurturing and fun way, providing solid music foundation that will be used throughout their entire life.

​

Every student is unique and they deserve lessons tailored to their individual needs. Marina provides a well rounded approach to music, not only teaching the notes, but sharing her love of music, from listening, to improvising, to ear training. At the same time, she loves to focus on the fundamentals, giving students a great foundation for all their future goals.
